Hey Nate

Well it's been a while. I haven't had much to say so I haven't posted anything.

I received a package from the folks recently- some snacks (including yogurt covered pretzels and two Skor bars :) ), a Hotshot Hot Water Dispenser, and some Ziplock storage containers for fruit. Thanks!

I got to talk to Nate last night- I think the delay on the phone really messed with his head, it was kinda funny though. He talked about getting to go camping in the mountains and how he had a good time. I wish I could gop camping in the mountains but the time is passing pretty quickly (I'm 39% done).

Chris got back from his R&R in Thailand a couple of days ago. The pictures are beautiful; I really want to go there now. He met a really cool girl on-line and they have been talking for a while now so he went there to meet her. I've talked to her on the computer and on the phone and she seems really nice and has a good head on her shoulders to boot. He brought back some cool stuff including................... back scratchers! Funny how something so simple can seem like the greatest thing. We had been commenting on how we would like back scratchers for a while now so this is cool.


Wow, the military just blew up more explosives! Twelve shots a couple of miles outside our berm and the building was shaking with each one- it's a really neat rumbling blast too not just a bang. It's amazing how much explosives they are still blowing up. I wanted to laugh at Kerry for trying to drag the "missing explosives" into the election- there are so many tons of the stuff around that the "missing amount" really isn't that much. I know that sounds hard to believe, but it's true.

I'm trying not to be political so I won't say anything about the election results.
