Bringing in Ramadan with a bang!

Well Ramadan started Friday. The fanatics celebrated by shooting large fireworks at us today.

We had just gone through the line at the D-Fac and were getting ready to sit down when the first rocket hit. It's always kind of comical as everyone looks around to make sure that everyone else heard the same thing then plates get dropped on tables as everyone heads to the doors. As we headed to the bunkers the second round landed between some Hescos. Several short minutes later a third round came in but there was no report- a dud. This was followed by the resounding booms of outgoing 155mm howitzer! All I can say is I hope like hell they found their mark, ruin my dinner will they.

You know it's bad when everybody in the bunker is complaining that they shot at us on lobster night.
