Just another lovely day.....

Today started out a little chilly, quickly proceeded into hot with no wind and now it's windy with no sun visible for the clouds and dust. Nothing like the other days sand storm, but just not a very pleasant day.

What's new?

Not much. We got hit again the other night- one rocket, no idea where it went and I didn't get out of bed. Today the EOD guys have been blowing up stuff southwest of the camp- the first ones of the day were the coolest of the explosions they've set off near us yet. We could feel it as they set off a series of explosions in rapid succession. It had to have been quite a few tons of ordinance because they were a good ways away and it still shook everything. It never ceases to amaze me just how much old ordinance Saddam had. All of my friends at other bases talk about how much stuff the EOD guys blow up near them too- there are literally thousands of tons of the stuff.

Dave is still trying to talk me into going to China to teach. It sounds fun, but I want to finish this contract out. This is retirement money.

Recent medical calls.........
I took out a huge splinter today. I've seen two more kidney stones- gotta drink more water guys, and not the brand with the high pH and high calcium. I handed out malaria medicine, Tylenol, and Z-packs/sinus medication.

My truck is filthy, but with all of the wind and dust I haven't been able to wash it.

Babble, babble, babble.................
