Runner's knee
So my knee started hurting while I was back in the States. I ran five and half miles two days in a row and on the third day it stared really bothering me about half way through. By that afternoon it was really painful to walk down steps etc. So being the kinda smart guy that I am I figured it had something to do with overuse and that I should do some research on this. It also gave me an excuse to go to Barnes and Noble and get a mocha frappachino. Turns out I have runner's knee. Too much running too soon- I came back and started running on a harder surface and probably have bad form to boot.
I took it easy on the knee and only ran sporadically but did walk the five mile route. Walking doesn't really bother it; it's mostly running downhill where the strike is harder.
So anyways, what does this have to do with anything in Iraq? Well I've slowly started running again but it still smarts a bit after about three miles so I've switched back to the elliptical machine. I'm still trying to get back in to my routine.
I'm ready to get back to the States too.
