Waiter, I'll have the shrimp and lobster please

............with a side of Chablais. Well there was no waiter and no wine, but we do have steak, lobster, crab legs, and shrimp on Sundays. I eat two lobsters (because I can), some crab legs, and a couple of shrimp (peel the batter off). The lobster was a little over done (like most everything else) but it was still good; the crab legs were just right.

One of our guys came in earlier for a burn. He manages the landfill and something in one of the burn pits flashed as he was stirring it. He turned away from the fire ball, but still got some 1st and 2nd dgree burns on his elbow. We cleaned it well and put Silvadene on it. He has to come by twice a day for re-evaluation and we got to do a lot of paperwork for a recordable injury.

I treated two coughs and some more athlete's foot today.

More email from ESM today, glad you're doing better bro.

Tommorow is "new order with Amazon.com day" Wahoo, more books (some reference, some pleasure) and a new alarm clock. I was talking to one of the soldiers and he commented that he got several pieces of mail a week- he placed an order with Amazon.com about every other day so that he always had something in the mail. I thought it sounded like a good idea if you didn't mind the shipping cost; I'll stick to one or two orders a month.

I've also been reading over some of what I've written- Wow, my typing is really bad! I'm thinking about typing this in Word and then cut and pasting it on blogger to help catch my poor typing. My spelling is bad, but my typing is far worse. I've got to get used to having a full sized keyboard again. When I was ordering form Tigerdirect.com, I noticed that they were clearancing a Logitech wireless keyboard for $20! Yeah baby, I can now kick back, put my feet up, and type with the keyboard in my lap.

This sounds cool, but it also serves a function- I'm still getting edema in my lower extremities. I think it's because I sit at a desk and don't move around enough. It resolves itself overnight and isn't as bad if I move around more- like working out. Speaking of working out, ever done 45 minutes on an elliptical trainer? Your legs go kinda numb and when you get off the machine, you walk in funny little baby steps. Hahaha.

Well, I've got a new email from ESM that I want to read and reply to- (to anybody reading this and nobody in particular) I'd read and reply to yours too if you emailed me. Just think, your very own personalized email from Iraq- wouldn't your friends be impressed! Yeah, whatever.
