Should have used duct tape........

According to the EOD guys, last night's rocket wasn't a dud- the warhead fell off en route to us, that was the first explosion we heard.  They found the rocket casing this morning; beat up, and missing the warhead.  The explosion we heard was right in line with the rocket's incoming flight path. 

These rockets are Soviet made 122mm that are designed to fit in a MLRS (multiple launch rocket system).  They need to be fired out of a tube to be accurate.  The launch vehicles have been destroyed, but there's a lot of the rockets still out there.
